Draymond Green was just trying to have a quiet off-day Thursday with his kids when his phone started blowing up.

ESPN’s Baxter Holmes published an explosive report regarding racist and misogynistic behavior from Suns majority owner Robert Sarver Thursday, including an anecdote where Sarver questioned Green’s ability to say the N-word.

During Friday’s shootaround in San Francisco, the Warriors forward reacted to the Sarver story while speaking with reporters.

“Very crazy allegations,” Green said. “We’ll see what happens. But pretty serious allegations. It’s interesting. Very interesting and I got fined. Interesting, though.”

Green is referring to the $50,000 tampering fine the NBA handed down following comments he made about Devin Booker in 2020. While appearing on the set with TNT, Green clamored for Booker to leave Phoenix.

“Get my man out of Phoenix,” Green said. “It’s not good for him, it’s not good for his career.”

It’s unclear how these two situations are related, but Draymond told reporters Friday, “There’s always more to the story.”

Green also hinted that he heard rumblings of Holmes’ account of the Sarver allegations before Thursday.

“Word travels around this league like wildfire,” Green said. “It may not have been my first time hearing the story yesterday. That’s neither here nor there.”

The Warriors will travel to Phoenix to play the Suns on Nov. 30 before the teams will head back up to the Bay Area for a Dec. 3 matchup at Chase Center.
