Larry Nance Jr. was traded for the third time in his career earlier this month, arriving in New Orleans along with CJ McCollum and Tony Snell in exchange for Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart, Didi Louzada, Tomas Satoransky and three draft picks (one first and two second-rounders). Upon being dealt, the 29-year-old put in a call to Hart, his Lakers teammate during the 2017-18 season. With both looking for a place to shack up in their new cities, the two brainstormed a clever way to solve their housing conundrum.

“I own a house in Portland. He owns a house [in New Orleans]. So we just kind of swapped,” Nance told ESPN. If nothing else, this should provide a temporary solution while Hart and Nance get situated in their new surroundings.

Nance wishes he and Hart could have played together in the Big Easy, though at least they’ll have a chance to catch up when the Pelicans host Portland next month (March 30th). While Nance has yet to suit up for his new team (he underwent minor knee surgery shortly upon joining the Pelicans), Hart has been terrific for the Blazers, averaging 21 points on elite 56.9-percent shooting (42.3 percent from downtown) in his four appearances.
