Stephen A. Smith shared a bold take during Tuesday's episode of First Take. The loud and brash ESPN personality says if Steph Curry can win two more NBA championships, he will surpass another future Hall of Famer -- LeBron James.

While in the midst of another passionate argument between Smith and Kendrick Perkins, LeBron's name was mentioned in the conversation, leading to Smith making his assertion that Curry will pass James, stating the Warriors sharpshooter will win two more rings -- putting him above James who currently has four.

“I see this team potentially — I’m not gonna say potentially. I’m willing to say the Golden State Warriors are winning two of the next three titles,” Smith said. “I believe Steph Curry will eclipse LeBron James and capture five championships in his career while LeBron is still stuck on four. That is what I believe will happen.”

With his hot take, Smith assumes the Warriors will win the NBA Finals against the Celtics. However, he doesn't think the dynasty will stop there.

"I’m looking at the Golden State Warriors being at least eight [players] deep," he said. "… And I’m willing to say the Golden State Warriors are winning two of the next three titles."

Curry would have one of those rings that LeBron has if his Cavaliers didn't steal one championship from the Warriors in 2016 when the Dubs had a 3-1 lead before ultimately blowing it.

If Curry were to win five rings, that would not only put him over James in terms of championship rings but there would certainly be a discussion to be had on where he lands among NBA greats like Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan as well as his coach Steve Kerr, all of whom have won five titles during their playing days.
