There are few people in the NBA who I'd rather have as my neighbor than Boban Marjanovic. The league's gentle giant has drawn only the most positive reviews regarding his behavior on the court, his chemistry with teammates, his sense of humor and more.
Perhaps it makes sense, then, that the "nicest guy" the game has to offer is one of the newest athletes on State Farm's roster. Like a good neighbor, Boban is there... and so is Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young, as the pair appeared in separate spots that are set to air for the NBA's highly anticipated Christmas slate.

The campaign, centered around the idea of challenging one's assumptions, enables viewers to see that great insurance is, in fact, affordable when you go with State Farm. You shouldn't assume otherwise... just like how you shouldn't assume that all NBA players want are rings. Just ask Boban Marjanovic and his poor set of underused coasters (h/t Pat Benson of All Hawks on FanNation).
I'd buy those Boban coasters in a heartbeat, for what it's worth. And his death stare when Jake decided not to use one? Priceless.
The other spot, this one featuring Young, also stars fellow point guard Chris Paul and shows us that the behind-the-scenes of NBA photoshoots aren't as simple as you might think.
State Farm delves deep into the athlete pool for its ads, using Paul, Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes as frequent stars. We'll see if Young and Boban are just one-time appearances or if they become regular members of the insurance company's crew.
