While a tragedy fortunately didn't take place, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts isn't going to quickly forget an incident that took place at FedExField Sunday.

NFL Media's Tom Pelissero says that after he narrowly avoided being hit by a group of fans when a railing collapsed Sunday in Landover, Hurts penned a letter to both the team and league asking what steps are being taken to assure another incident like this (or an even worse one) doesn't happen:

After the Eagles defeated the Washington Football Team Sunday, Hurts was attempting to high five Philadelphia fans that made the trip as he exited the field. Instead, an entire section of railing gave out, and he was left to make sure a section of fans didn't land on top of him:

After video of the collapse went viral, the organization issued a statement:

Contrary to what was said in this statement, four Eagles fans told Tim McManus of ESPN that they were not offered medical attention.

"They didn't ask if anyone was hurt, and they sure as hell didn't ask if anybody needed medical attention," said Andrew Collins, 26, of Brooklawn, New Jersey. "The only thing the staff said to us was to get the F off the field."

Sunday's incident is hardly the only bad press that FedExField -- which opened in 1997 -- has received this season. Multiple pipes have burst around the stadium this season, leaving fans to be doused with who knows what. Additionally, quarterback Taylor Heinicke picked up a pair of scissors off the field during a game last month.
