Deshaun Watson's massive $230 million fully-guaranteed contract has many owners and GMs praying to the heavens that they signed their quarterbacks before Watson's deal.

One of those owners is Jerry Jones, who was asked if he was happy the Cowboys were able to get Dak Prescott's $40 million-per-year contract done before Watson's. Although he didn't answer directly, Jones said he is "proud" to have Prescott locked up.

During a press conference Wednesday to announce the Cowboys' partnership with the cryptocurrency platform Blockchain.com, Jones mostly spoke on Prescott's work ethic and the teams' commitment to surround him with the right pieces, all while carefully avoiding any comparisons between Prescott and Watson's deals.

“When I look at what has happened since we’ve done (Dak’s) contract, the reps, the way Dak has evolved, what we’re doing in here to look for players to complement what he does the best,” Jones said. “That’s who, in my mind, we’re complementing whether we’re blocking them out, whether we’re basically trying to get him some field position. So yes, we’re glad we got him.”

Jones did eventually address Watson's contract but didn't get into detail on what his deal means for the rest of the NFL.

"Deshaun's contract was a big one," Jones said. "It just reinforces it just takes one or two teams to really covet a player and they really get those numbers on up there."

Aaron Rodgers set a new precedent for quarterback contracts, becoming the first NFL player to receive $100 million fully guaranteed at signing. The Browns then upped the anty up by giving Watson double that and then some--all guaranteed despite a potential suspension from the league for accusations of sexual misconduct.

With the NFL Draft only two weeks away, the Cowboys will look to address a few holes left after losing Amari Cooper, Cedrick Wilson, La'el Collins and Randy Gregory.

Jones also said during his presser that the Cowboys could potentially move up in the draft. Dallas is currently slated as the 24th pick.
