Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – The Philadelphia Eagles have nabbed one of John Dorsey’s top lieutenants for their front office.
Vice president of player personnel Andrew Berry has left the Browns front office to join the Eagles where he will be the team’s vice president of football operations.
Berry was originally hired by former executive vice president of football operations Sashi Brown in February 2016.
Prior to joining the Browns, Berry, who graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in computer science, spent seven years with the Indianapolis Colts where he started in 2009 as a scouting assistant and quickly worked his way up to pro scouting coordinator for his last four years with the Colts.
After being hired as Brown’s replacement in Dec. 2017 as the team’s top personnel executive, Dorsey hired former Packers executive Alonzo Highsmith as vice president of player personnel to work alongside Brown holdovers Berry and Ken Kovash.
If Dorsey chooses to replace Berry, former Washington general manager Scot McCloughan could be a candidate. McCloughan has served in a consulting role for the last year.
