"Dante Exum has been with us since Christmas time and it was the first time he's ever had a real practice here," Beilein said. "We've had three practices since and one of them was in Boston and the floor was a little slippery — we couldn't really practice. The other one was at UCLA. We were like a mash unit after that."
The Cavaliers had 10 players available on Wednesday. Practice lasted for over 90 minutes.
They got some bad news this morning. Center Ante Zizic is out indefinitely with a vestibular condition. He has been dealing with dizziness and nausea. Zizic will undergo a period of rehabilitation to evaluate his symptoms further.
"He's a ways away, it looks like," Beilein said. "It's hard. He was rebounding. He flattens out really well and gets on the baseline and gives us more space and was really rebounding well. Our hope is John (Henson) will stay healthy now."
"I talked to him yesterday after the surgery," Beilein said. "He ended up spending the night just to spend the night (at the hospital) there to make sure he had a full recovery. Everyone was very optimistic afterwards and we are as well.
The Cavs look to snap a 5-game losing streak on Thursday night against the Wizards. They returned to Cleveland on Monday following a 6-game west coast trip that included losses to the Lakers and the Clippers.
The Cavaliers are 12-32 this season.
