Mayfield also won the award in weeks 3, 7, 9, 12, 14 and 16.
Mayfield completed 23 of 42 passes for 376 yards with 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in a 26-24 loss to the Baltimore Ravens Sunday.
With the 3 touchdowns, Mayfield set a new NFL rookie record for touchdown passes in a single season with 27 surpassing the previous record of 26 held by Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson.
Mayfield, who completed 68 percent of his passes with 19 touchdowns and 8 interceptions after the coaching change, set a new rookie franchise record for passing yardage in just 13 starts.
Browns running back Nick Chubb won in weeks 4 and 10 while cornerback Denzel Ward was voted the honor in weeks 1 and 5 by fans marking 11 times in 17 weeks a Brown won the award.
