Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has been downgraded to “doubtful” to play in Sunday’s contest against the Cleveland Browns.
Joining Green as doubtful is Bengals cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick with a shoulder injury.
If Green does not play, it will be the third consecutive game he’s missed; the Bengals have lost the previous two games without their Pro Bowl receiver.
Green has been bothered by a toe injury, suffered during a game-winning drive against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Paul Brown Stadium, Oct. 28.
The Browns (3-6-1) are looking to win their first road game in more than three years, while the Bengals (5-5) are looking to keep their playoff hopes alive with a victory. But attaining a win against the Browns becomes more difficult without Green and his 45 receptions for 687 yards and 6 touchdowns this season.
In Cincinnati’s two wins against the Browns last season, Green caught 10 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown.
