Cleveland (92.3 The Fan) - It appears that Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey wasn't kidding when he invited teams to call him about the first and fourth overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.
The Buffalo Bills have taken him up on the suggestion and inquired about trading up to No. 1 according to Dan Patrick.
Patrick made the revelation Monday morning during his nationally syndicated radio and television show 'The Dan Patrick Show' which airs on DirecTV's Audience network.
Dorsey and Bills general manager Brandon Beane have already developed a strong working relationship. The two agreed to a trade on March 9 for quarterback Tyrod Taylor in exchange for Cleveland's third-roud pick - No. 65 overall.
Like the Browns, Buffalo is loaded with picks at the top end of this draft, including Nos. 12 and 22 overall in the first round.
The Bills aren't the first team to ask about the top pick. Over the weekend the Jets called Cleveland according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News before swapping with Indianapolis to move up to third on Saturday.
With teams already jockeying for position to land one of the top four QBs in this class - Josh Rosen, Josh Allen, Sam Darnold or Baker Mayfield, it stands to reason that Dorsey won't move out of one, but would gladly entertain offers for the fourth overall selection.
Should quarterbacks be picked with the first three selections by Cleveland, the New York Giants and Jets, the Browns would have their choice of position players to pick from at four: Pen State running back Saquon Barkley, NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb, Alabama corner Minkah Fitzpatrick or Ohio State corner Denzel Ward meaning it might be wise for Dorsey to just stay put and take the best player.
