Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) - The Cleveland Browns wasted little time replacing Isaiah Crowell in their backfield Wednesday.
The team will sign 49ers free agent running back Carlos Hyde when the new league year begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday. NFL Network reports the deal with Hyde is for three years and $15 million, including $6 million in the first year.
In 4 seasons, Hyde has put up comperable numbers to Crowell.
Hyde has averaged 4.2 yards per carry and totaled 2,729 yards on 655 carries with 21 touchdowns rushing while adding 109 catches for 634 yards and 3 touchdowns. Crowell averaged 4.1 yards per carry, 3,118 rushing yards, 21 tocuhdowns on the ground while adding 96 catches for 770 yards and 1 receiving touchdown through the air.
