CLEVELAND, OH – The Cavaliers have agreed to a four-year, $31 million contract extension with Cedi Osman according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.
Osman, 24, averaged 13 points and 4.7 rebounds per game for the Cavs in 2018. He’s entering his third season in the NBA. He’s now under contract through the 2023-2024 season.
Osman started 75 games last season and averaged over 32 minutes per contest. He joins Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr. as the only players on the team under contract beyond this season who aren’t on their rookie deals.
Osman played for the World team in the NBA Rising Stars challenge during the All-Star break last season.
Koby Altman and John Beilein hope to build a winner in Cleveland. They believe keeping a player like Osman in the fold will help them accomplish that goal.
