Berea, OH (92.3 The Fan) – It took until their fifth selection for the Browns to address the offensive side of the ball.

Southeast Missouri left tackle Drew Forbes was their selection 189th overall in the sixth round.

“I think that is one of the things that attracted us is the fact that he is athletic enough to play left (tackle), but he also has the versatility to kick inside if we see fit,” Browns scout Colton Chapple said.

“That is one of the positives from us getting a guy like Drew is he does have that athleticism and he does have that intelligence where he can play multiple positions.”

Forbes was named a Football Championship Subdivision First-Team All-American by Walter Camp, STATS and Phil Steele and Second-Team by the Associated Press.

Cleveland used the 221st overall pick in round 7 on Tulane cornerback Donnie Lewis Jr. to complete their seven-member class.

Lewis ranked tied for third in the country with 17 pass breakups in 2018 while adding three interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

In all, the Browns added 5 defensive players, a kicker and an offensive tackle over the two days they made picks.
