CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The coronavirus pandemic is not slowing Andrew Berry down.

The Browns’ executive vice president and general manager added his ninth player since Monday by coming to terms on a contract with Vikings veteran safety Andrew Sendejo a league surce confirmed to 92.3 The Fan.

It's a one-year, $2.25 million deal according to NFL Network, continuing the trend of contracts Berry has given out this week, especially to defenders.

Sendejo split last season between Philadelphia and Minnesota but was with the Vikings from 2011-2018 meaning he is familiar with head coach Kevin Stefanski. The 32-year-old signed with the Eagles in 2019 before being waived in November and re-signed by Minnesota.

Sendejo started three of the 15 games he appeared in last season for the Eagles and Vikings where he combined to break up four passes, intercept three more along with registering 45 tackles, two of them for loss and a sack.

Over his 10-year career, Sendejo, who provides the Browns with needed depth in the secondary, has started 61 of the 110 games he’s appeared in and he has 416 tackles, eight tackles for loss, nine interceptions, 21 passes defensed, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on his resume.

Berry, who also agreed to a contract with safety Karl Joseph on Thursday, is likely to continue to look for help at the position.

Free agency and trade acquisitions can’t be announced until contracts are executed, including physicals.
