Browns hire Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as VP of football operations

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Andrew Berry has found his top assistant for the front office.

The Browns have hired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah as vice president of football operations a league source confirmed to 92.3 The Fan Friday.


Adofo-Mensah, a graduate of Princeton with an economics degree, comes to Cleveland after serving as the 49ers director of football research and development. He also owns a master’s in economics from Stanford.

Adofo-Mensah began his professional career in the business world working for Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan Chase and Taylor Woods Capital before joining the 49ers in 2013 as the manager of football research and development.

He spent over seven years with the organization and was promoted to his most recent title in 2018.

Adofo-Mensah is the fourth Ivy Leaguer to hold a prominent role within the Browns.

Berry (Harvard), chief strategy officer Paul DePodesta (Harvard) and head coach Kevin Stefanski (Penn) also went to Ivy League schools.
