Browns agree to deal with RT Jack Conklin

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – With the top tight end available in his pocket, Andrew Berry struck again Monday by landing the top right tackle available in free agency – Jack Conklin.

Conklin agreed to a three-year, $42 million contract that will pay $20 million in 2020 his agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed to ESPN and the Associated Press.


“Thank you @titans, my teammates and all the fans for a great 4 years!” Conklin tweeted. “Couldn’t have asked for a better city to start my career in, I love you guys!”

$30 million of the deal is fully guaranteed according to Rosenhaus.

The $14 million per year average of the agreement is below the $16-18 million per season average sone estmated Conklin would command in free agency. 

Conklin, 25, was named an all-pro during his rookie year after being selected eighth overall in the 2016 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.

He started all 57 games he’s appeared in for Tennesee.
