CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns made the addition of defensive tackle Andrew Billings official Thursday by announcing his signing.

The team also signed center Evan Brown.

Billings, a free agent from the Bengals and former 2016 fourth round pick, agreed to a one-year deal last week.

The 6-foot-1, 328-pound defensive tackle is expected to rotate with starters Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson up front under new defensive coordinator Joe Woods. Billings started 30 of the 32 games he appeared in for Cincinnati over the last three seasons.

Billings started 14 games in 2019 where he tallied 35 tackles, four of them for a loss. He missed his rookie season after tearing his ACL in training camp but bounced back and took over as a starter in 2018.

Brown, who spent last season with the Giants and Dolphins, is in his third NFL season out of SMU. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Giants in 2018, Brown has appeared in four career games. He appeared in one game in 2019 for the Giants in addition to spending time on New York’s practice squad. He was signed to the Dolphins’ active roster and appeared in three games for Miami.
