Just a few days after the Indians released their 2020 season schedule, for 60 games starting on July 24th, the team released its 2021 schedule.
Opening Day for the Tribe will be in Detroit against the Tigers on Aril 1st of next year, if all goes according to plan with baseball's new coronavirus guidelines and protocols for this pandemic-shortened season.
The 2021 home opener at Progressive Field is set for Monday, April 5th against the Royals.
Thankfully for Indians fans, or whatever the team will be called next season, there are five scheduled off days in April. Because there always seems to be early April snow in northeast Ohio.

— Cleveland Indians (@Indians) July 9, 2020Cleveland's 2021 schedule is fairly balanced, with their longest road trip coming during a nine-day stretch in June against Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Minnesota. All teams they will face this season that only includes AL Central and NL Central teams.
The Indians will also be home for plenty of summer weekend series after Memorial Day, if fans are finally allowed back into ballparks in 2021. It will be hard to judge strength of schedule for the 2021 slate, since the 2020 season has yet to start.
