CLEVELAND, Ohio – Zach Plesac allowed one run in seven innings and the Indians completed a three-game sweep with an 8-3 win over the Tigers on Sunday.
Plesac got into trouble in the first inning, allowing the first three hitters to reach base safely. The Tigers had runners on the corners and a 1-0 lead, but he recorded three straight outs to minimize the damage.
Plesac retired 19 of the next 22 batters he faced. He gave up five hits on the day and improves to 3-2 on the year. His ERA fell to 2.33 this season.
Bobby Bradley got the Indians on the board in the second inning with an RBI double. It was his first Major League at-bat. The 23-year-old had 55 RBI in Triple-A Columbus, which was second in the International League. He finished 1-for-3 with a walk.

Carlos Santana hit home run No. 17 in the fifth inning to give the Indians a 6-1 lead. He still has a chance to start at first base in the All-Star Game on July 9.
Nick Goody allowed two runs in the eighth inning. Jason Kipnis put the game out of reach in the bottom half of the inning with a two-RBI single.
