CLEVELAND, Ohio – The shorthanded Indians rallied after a rain delay that lasted 1:43 to beat the Twins 9-7 on Wednesday night.
Jordan Luplow hit the game tying two-run homer in the seventh inning. Robert Perez followed it up with the go-ahead home run moments later to give the Indians the lead for good.
"Winning is fun," Perez said. "Luplow has ben swinging the bat really well against lefties, finally he got one out against a righty. We battled. We came from behind to win this game. That shows you what kind of team we are. I know we have some offensive struggles, but these two wins, that’s huge for us. Hopefully we keep doing what we’re doing right now."
