Cleveland, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Delanie Walker had no doubts entering Sunday’s opener about the outcome.
The Titans’ tight end did his part too, catching a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns from quarterback Marcus Mariota in a 43-13 thrashing of the Browns
“They were who we thought they were,” Walker said. “You all can crown them if you want to crown them. Still gotta play football.”
Walker, who referred to the Browns as “frontrunners” during his postgame scrum with reporters, caught touchdowns of 11 and seven yards on back-to-back possessions to help turn the game into a rout.
“We didn't even circle this game,” Walker said. “This is just another game.”
As the Titans’ coaches left the press box one assistant said, “Same old Browns.”
After that performance Sunday, it’s hard to dispute it.
At least for the opener.
