CLEVELAND, OH – Week 5 was full of big performances from fantasy studs like Christian McCaffrey and Deshaun Watson. Role players like Will Fuller and Matt Breida also had huge weeks.
The Bills, Raiders, Bears and Colts are on a bye in Week 6. If your fantasy roster needs help, there is plenty of talent available on the waiver wire.
Here are the players you should consider adding this week:
Chris Herndon (29%) – Herndon is back with the Jets after serving a four-game suspension. He could be a game changer and is worth adding in all fantasy leagues. Once Sam Darnold returns, Herndon has legitimate TE1 appeal. Veteran tight end Ryan Griffin has played 93 percent of offensive snaps this season for New York. Herndon should get most of those snaps moving forward.
Dede Westbrook (59%) – Westbrook has at least five receptions in each of last three games. D.J. Chark will get the attention, but Westbrook has good chemistry with Gardner Minshew. He’s a WR3 in PPR leagues and worth claiming if he’s available in your league.
Diontae Johnson (34%) – Johnson didn’t score in Week 5, but he led the Steelers with eight targets. He’s clearly a big part of their offense and is worth adding. If Mason Rudolph is out, his value takes a hit, but he’s worth a look if you need wide receiver help.
Gerald Everett (10%) – Everett was targeted 11 times last week, finishing with seven receptions for 136 yards. He’s suddenly a big part of the Rams offense. Tight end is a shallow position in fantasy, which makes Everett worthy of a claim.
Jon Hilliman (0%) – Saquon Barkley continues to nurse an ankle injury and backup Wayne Gallman suffered a concussion last week. Hilliman could end up starting for the Giants on Thursday against New England. It’s a brutal matchup, but the rookie would have some flex appeal based on the number of touches he would receive. He’s worth adding in deep leagues.
Other players worth watching:
Preston Williams (8%), DeVante Parker (9%), Auden Tate (22%), Duke Williams (0%), Josh Allen (51%), Willie Snead (3%), Kirk Cousins (41%), Adrian Peterson (41%), Chase Edmonds (3%), Byron Pringle (1%), Antonio Callaway (4%), Rashard Higgins (2%).
