Berea, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Browns defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi lost his appeal of a 1-game suspension but had the additional fine rescinded the NFL announced Wednesday.
Ogunjobi, who pushed Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph from behind during Thursday night’s melee, will not play this week against the Miami Dolphins.
Appeals officer James Thrash heard Ogunjobi’s appeal on Monday.
Thrash rescinded the additional fine of $10,527 but Ogunjobi will not be paid for this week’s game costing him $48,247.
Thrash heard Myles Garrett’s appeal of an indefinite suspension Wednesday morning. The hearing, attended in person by Garrett, lasted less than 2 hours.
A ruling on that appeal is expected to be announced later this week according to the league.
The Browns and Steelers were fined $250,000 each by the NFL and additional fines are forthcoming this weekend stemming from the incident.
