Cavs miss potential game-winner, lose to Clippers 110-108

Cleveland, OH (92.3 The Fan) – Jordan Clarkson's three-point attempt rolled around the rim, before spinning out at the buzzer and the Cavaliers lost to the Clippers 110-108 on Friday night.

The Cavaliers erased a nine-point fourth quarter deficit to pull within two with less than 10 seconds to play. Clarkson's attempt would've won it. Love led the Cavaliers with 22 points and eight rebounds.


"I think anything JC shoots is going in," Larry Nance Jr., said after the game. "The guy is a walking bucket. That's a shot I think we'll live with 10 times out of 10 and next time it's going in."

Cleveland got off to a great start, scoring 40 first quarter points en route to a 15-point lead. Los Angeles chipped away and cut the deficit to 60-58 going into halftime. 

Danilo Gallinari led the Clippers with 27 points. Los Angeles has won nine of its' last 10 games. The Cavaliers are 6-3 in their last nine games at Quicken Loans Arena. They're 19-54 on the season.

Clarkson has been consistent all year long and could be a big part of the turnaround. He's comfortable coming off of the bench and is willing to take and make big shots.

Young Bull's Streak – Sexton's finished with 20 points. He's scored at least 20 in each of the last eight games. He was extremely efficient in the first half, scoring 17 on 8-of-11 shooting. He got in foul trouble and didn't play most of the fourth quarter. Clippers head coach Doc Rivers complimented Sexton before the game:
