Myles Garrett ranked 80th in NFL’s Top 100 for 2020

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Defensive end Myles Garrett is the first Browns player to crack the 2020 edition of the NFL’s Top 100 players.

Garrett came in at No. 80, a drop of 31 spots from 2019 when he came in at No. 49 after being named to his first Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro, Sunday night.

Garrett had 10.0 sacks through 10 games in 2019 before he was suspended indefinitely for removing the helmet of Mason Rudolph and hitting the Steelers quarterback in the head with it in the closing seconds of a 21-7 victory Nov. 14, 2019. Garrett was reinstated in February.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft was signed to a five-year, $125 million contract extension earlier this month keeping him with the Browns through 2026 and making him just the fourth first-round pick in the expansion era to receive a contract extension from the franchise.

Through his first three seasons, Garrett has racked up 30.5 sacks in 37 games, a franchise record. He is the first player in team history to register multiple double digit sack seasons.

Garrett has also totaled 104 tackles, eight tackles for loss and six forced fumbles in his young career.

The NFL's Top 100 list is formulated each year based on player voting.
