CLEVELAND, OH – José Ramírez’s season is over. The Indians announced the two-time All-Star will miss 5 to 7 weeks after having surgery to repair the broken hamate bone in his right hand.
The Indians regular season ends on September 29, which means there’s a chance he could return in time for the postseason
Ramírez swung at a 2-0 pitch in the first inning of Saturday’s game against Kansas City and grimaced in pain. An MRI confirmed the fracture. He had surgery on Monday afternoon.
