CLEVELAND, OH – The Cavaliers felt like they should’ve beaten the 76ers in a 98-97 loss on Nov. 12. Philadelphia didn’t leave any doubt in their second matchup in less than a week, beating the Cavaliers 114-95 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
The 76ers jumped out to a double-digit first quarter lead and never looked back. They shot 67 percent from the field in the first-half. Tobias Harris led all scoring with 27 points on 12-of-14 shooting. Ben Simmons finished with 10 points and 11 assists. Collin Sexton scored 17 points for Cleveland.
Alfonzo McKinnie gave John Beilein some solid minutes off the bench, finishing with seven points and six rebounds. The Cavaliers were without Larry Nance Jr., who re-injured his thumb in Thursday's loss to Miami. The injury isn't considered serious and he's day-to-day moving forward.
The Cavaliers have lost three straight games and fall to 4-8 this season.
Sigh of Relief
Love collided with Al Horford while driving to the basket in the first quarter. He fell hard on the court and stayed down for a few minutes, before making it back to his feet.
He walked off under his own power, gave fans a thumbs up and returned to the game.
