Cleveland, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – With the 2019 MLB All-Star game coming to Cleveland comes a showcase of a few of the big sluggers in the game today with the Home Run Derby.
Carlos Santana has confirmed that he will represent the host city and the Indians when the sluggers battle it out on Monday, July 8 at Progressive Field.
The Derby will showcase eight players total but so far only five other players have confirmed their participation in the event.
Other teams have sent out comfirmations as to their players participating in the event. The four players to commit are Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Breweres, the Pittsburgh Pirates Josh Bell, along with rookies Vladamir Guerrero Jr. from the Toronto Blue Jays and Pete Alonzo of the New York Mets. Second year star, Ronald Acuna Jr. will represent the Atlanta Braves.
