Kate Bock reveals how Kevin Love surprised her with the news of being on the cover of Sports Illustrated

SI Swimsuit cover model Kate Bock joined Baskin and Phelps and talked about the honor of gracing the cover of this year's Swimsuit Edition of Sports Illustrated.

"I've been shooting with Sports Illustrated for four years now and every year you go to some crazy location, everything is pretty secret and you're not really supposed to reveal much to anyone," Bock told Andy and Jeff. "So no one really knows who is going to get the cover. Usually a few days or a week before the issue is going to come out, you usually start to think it's not you, so I had no idea."

Bock said that she shot the cover in Bali in November. She got to go to the rice patty fields and go zip-lining there, and talk to the rice farmers who had been working there all of their life.

The 27-year-old said being on the cover of SI is "the holy grail," and said that SI was really the first brand to give models a voice more than just a look, showcasing their personalities.

"They really promote a girl not only as a photo, but as as themselves, and this issue is very coveted because they put in so many girls in this issue, we were all kind of dreaming and hoping for this one opportunity, so this is really different than any other magazine cover."

Importantly for Cavs fans, Bock told the guys how her boyfriend, and Cleveland Cavaliers star Kevin Love, surprised her with the news.

"Kevin actually knew for about a week before I did, and he was in on the whole surprise, which was pretty fun and completely shocking to me," Bock said. "I was told to be ready for this couples quarantine interview game. So I was preparing the night before, and then the interview comes, and he asks me a few questions to start off the game, and then he asks me 'Who's on the cover of Sports Illustrated?' and I was like 'I don't know, it hasn't come out yet, I have no idea. But it would be amazing if I ever got that.' And then he handed me the issues and I was just in shock. It was pretty cool."

"Kevin's been very supportive," Bock said of her Cavaliers boyfriend. "We're just so excited about it."

The Canadian has beeb modeling since she was 12, and now that her and Love have been an item for some years, she said she comes to a lot of Love's modeling shoots.

"Its pretty fun, actually," she said. "I get to be on set and see his side of it and give him some of the pro tips I've learend along the way."

She also shared why she now considers Cleveland her home. 

"I'm totally a Clevelander, I spend plenty of year in Cleveland, so I am definitely a local at heart."

"I've been now in Cleveland basically [every> season, I feel very at home there," Bock said. "I was there for the championship, I got to experience the city's love during the parade and see how much people support the team and the sports, and I love Cleveland."
