PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - The #2-ranked Pittsburgh Panthers Volleyball team has earned the 6th overall seed in the 2019 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
The Panthers will open up the tournament on December 6 against Howard at the Petersen Events Center.
The Top-4 seeds in the 2019 NCAA Volleyball are Baylor, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin.
The Pittsburgh Panthers finished the 2019 Volleyball regular season 29-1 (18-0 in the ACC) and are ranked #2 in the country.The last time a team went undefeated in ACC conference play was in 2004.
Freshman Lexis Akeo has been named Freshman of the Week in the ACC a program record 8-times
The Panthers are 46-2 when ranked inside the AVCA Top 10 and are 19-1 when ranked inside the Top 5.
The NCAA Volleyball Final Four will take place at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on December 19-21, 2019.
