Aaron Rodgers' turbulent 2021 season came to a crushing conclusion on Saturday night, when the top-seeded Packers were knocked off at frigid and snowy Lambeau Field by the insurgent San Francisco 49ers.
On the field, Rodgers was his usual brilliant self in 2021, finishing the season as the odds-on favorite to repeat as league MVP.
But off it, his mishandling of his vaccination status and subsequent doubling down on polarizing positions seemed to come at the cost of squandering much of the goodwill built throughout his decorated career.
On social media, some fans and journalists tried to contextualize the devastating defeat in terms of what it means for Rogers' legacy.
But of course, some reactions were expressions of pure joy, with many referencing Rodgers' vaccine commentary.
Everyone stop making fun of Aaron Rodgers, he hates being needled.
