The 22-year-old Fields returned to practice in a limited fashion this week and is making “good progress,” coach Matt Nagy said Friday. He suffered the injury during a loss to the Ravens on Nov. 21, and Dalton filled in while helping lead the Bears to a win against the Lions on Nov. 25. Fields has started eight games this season. The Bears officially listed him as doubtful to play, and Nick Foles is set to be the backup to Dalton.

The Bears listed star linebacker Roquan Smith as questionable to play Sunday. He suffered a hamstring injury on Nov. 25 and practiced in a limited fashion Friday. The Bears also listed receiver Allen Robinson (hamstring) as doubtful to play.

The Bears ruled out defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (ankle), receiver Marquise Goodwin (foot/ribs) and defensive lineman Mario Edwards Jr. (ribs) for Sunday.

Chicago also plans to activate rookie offensive tackle Teven Jenkins from injured reserve. Jenkins, who underwent back surgery in August, would be eligible to play his first NFL game Sunday.
