(SportsRadio 610) - It looked like the Texans were finished, trailing by four points with just 46 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had just completed a 10-play, 61-yard touchdown drive to give them what appeared to be the game-defining lead.
But Texans rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud had other plans, instead orchestrating his own six-play, 75-yard touchdown drive with six seconds left to spare. The Texans beat the Bucs 39-37 to improve their record to 4-4.
Stroud was 30-for-42 with 470 passing yards and five touchdown passes. It marks career highs in passing yards and touchdown passs for Stroud
Rookie wide receiver Tank Dell had a pair of touchdown catches, including the game-winner. Wide receivers Nico Collins, Noah Brown and tight end Dalton Schultz also caught touchdown passes from Stroud.
Linebacker Blake Cashman led Houston with 10 tackles and two tackles for loss. Rookie edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. and Khalil Davis each recorded a sack for the Texans, who travel to the Cincinnati Bengals next week.
