Browns sign former Vikings S Andrew Sendejo

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Safety Andrew Sendejo is officially a Cleveland Brown.

The team made his signing official Friday morning.


Sendejo, who received a one-year deal worth $2.25 million, split last season between Philadelphia and Minnesota.The 32-year-old signed with the Eagles in 2019 before being waived in November and re-signed by Minnesota.

As a member of the Vikings from 2011-2018, Sendejo is familiar with head coach Kevin Stefanski.

Sendejo started three of the 15 games he appeared in last season for the Eagles and Vikings where he combined to break up four passes, intercept three more along with registering 45 tackles, two of them for loss and a sack.

Over his 10-year career, Sendejo, who provides the Browns with needed depth in the secondary, has started 61 of the 110 games he’s appeared in and he has 416 tackles, eight tackles for loss, nine interceptions, 21 passes defensed, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery on his resume.

So far this offseason, Berry acquired fullback Andy Janovich from Denver and he signed linebacker B.J. Goodson, right tackle Jack Conklin, tight end Austin Hooper, returner JoJo Natson, quarterback Case Keenum, cornerback Donovan Olumba, cornerback Kevin Johnson, defensive tackle Andrew Billings, safety Karl Joseph and center Evan Brown.
