CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns agreed to a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday afternoon to bolster their secondary.

Cleveland acquired safety Ronnie Harrison for a 2021 fifth-round pick. The deal is pending a physical.

Harrison, selected by Jacksonville in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft, has started 22 of the 28 games he’s appeared in where he’s registered 103 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions, 12 pass breakups and a fumble recovery.

Harrison started 14 games for the Jaguars last season where he finished second on the team with 70 tackles and nine pass breakups. He also had two interceptions, two sacks and a fumble recovery.

Harrison helped Alabama win two national championships in 2016 and 2018.

The Browns lost rookie safety Grant Delpit, selected in the second round of the 2020 Draft, to a ruptured Achilles last month.
