CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns added two more defenders and officially re-signed two of their own free agents on Day 2 of the new league year Thursday.

Defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson and linebacker Devin Bush Jr. are joining the top-ranked overall defense from 2023.


Bush, whose father Devin Bush Sr. played safety for the Browns from 2001-2002 where he started 16 games, visited Berea and left with a contract.

Bush Jr., 25, was the 10th overall pick of the Steelers in 2019. He has started 51 of 65 games he’s appeared in where he has totaled 323 tackles – 18 for loss, four sacks, 10 QB hits, 13 pass breakups, five fumble recoveries, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and a touchdown.

Last season with Seattle, Bush Jr. started 13 games and had 37 tackles – five for a loss.

Jefferson, who turns 31 at the end of the month, was a 2016 fifth round pick by the Seahawks. He has started 62 of 103 games he’s appeared in with 26.5 sacks, 77 QB hits, 28 tackles for loss, nine pass breakups, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.

In 2023, Jefferson started 14 games for the Jets where he had six sacks, 13 QB hits, 34 tackles – four for loss, and a forced fumble.

The Browns also announced the previously reported re-signing of defensive tackle Shelby Harris and offensive guard Michael Dunn.

Harris initially joined the Browns as a free agent in 2023 and is entering his 11th NFL season out of Illinois State. He has appeared in 115 career games and recorded 289 career tackles, 26 sacks and one interception. Last season, he appeared in 17 games with seven starts and logged 28 tackles, 1.5 sacks and five passes defensed.

Dunn, entering his eighth NFL season, has appeared in 40 games with the Browns with six starts since 2020 including 12 games with two starts at left guard in 2023.
