CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns are among the teams that attended Odell Beckham Jr.’s workout on Friday a league source confirmed to 92.3 The Fan.
Beckham, who has recovered from a second ACL tear suffered during the Rams 23-20 win over the Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, is an unrestricted free agent who did not play last season.
Beckham caught two passes for 52 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown against Cincinnati in the Super Bowl before suffering the injury.
Beckham visited with multiple teams late last year but ultimately did not sign a contract.
The Browns acquired Beckham from the New York Giants in March 2019 but his tenure in Cleveland ended with a messy divorce in October 2021 after Beckham’s father posted a video on social media along with other disparaging comments complaining about the lack of targets for his son by then quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Browns executive vice president of football operations Andrew Berry reached a buyout agreement with Beckham and granted his release allowing the receiver to ultimately sign with the Rams prior to their Super Bowl run.
In three years in Cleveland, Beckham caught 114 passes for 1586 yards and seven touchdowns over 29 games. His first season saw him catch for 1,035 yards and four scores while playing with a core muscle injury. His second season in 2020 was cut short after he suffered a torn ACL.
