The Browns and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. have reportedly agreed on the terms of their separation, effectively paving the way for his official release.
The deal, signed on Saturday, is a "mutual" one that allows Beckham to seek a fresh start while providing the Browns with some potential salary cap relief, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Under the terms of Beckham's newly restructured contract, the final two years of his deal have been voided, and he is owed $7.25 million for the remainder of 2021, per Rapoport.
If Beckham is claimed, then the claiming team is on the hook for the full amount. If he goes unclaimed, then the amount owed by the Browns drops to $4.25 million -- saving them about $3 million -- and Beckham is free to sign with any team of his choice.
And last, per Rap Sheet, Beckham agreed not to seek termination pay as part of his release. He was expected to clear waivers by Tuesday, he added.
The mercurial wide receiver's run with the Browns came to an abrupt halt this week after two-plus years, when his father posted a video in which he called out quarterback Baker Mayfield for allegedly missing his wide-open son on countless plays.
Beckham didn't disavow his father's stunt and reportedly didn't seek out either Mayfield or head coach Kevin Stefanski to explain or apologize. He was excused from practice this week after reports said the Browns were unable to strike a deal to trade him prior to the Nov. 2 deadline.
The former LSU standout arrived amid great fanfare as the potential top target for Mayfield when he was acquired from the Giants in a March 2019 blockbuster.
The Giants signed him to the five-year, $95 million contract extension that has now been revised as part of his release.
