Browns DE Myles Garett dislocates toe during Pro Bowl Games Sunday

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – You just can’t make this stuff up.

To prevent injury, the NFL changed the format of the Pro Bowl by eliminating the football game since it had turned into a laughingstock and opted for a series of competitive events, including dodgeball, water balloon tosses and flag football.

Of course, a Cleveland Brown still got hurt.

Defensive end Myles Garett suffered a dislocated toe during Sunday’s Pro Bowl Games while competing in his leg of the ‘Gridiron Gauntlet’ with teammates Joel Bitonio and Nick Chubb.

Video from a fan in the stands posted to social media captured Garrett limping off the field in Las Vegas.

Bitonio started the gauntlet run by crashing through three walls and hitting a buzzer, cuing Garrett to begin his run that saw him climb over three walls while going under ‘tables’ between the walls and hitting another buzzer for Chubb to run through tires.

In video posted by the NFL of the event, it is unclear when Garrett specifically suffered the injury.

The good news is that X-rays were negative the team confirmed and Garrett should be fine.

Garrett, who tied a career high and team single season record with 16.0 sacks this past season, was making his fourth career Pro Bowl appearance.
