BEREA, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Before the Browns broke for the three-day holiday weekend, they got a bit healthier.

Cornerback Greedy Williams, safety grant Delpit and linebacker Sione Takitaki returned to practice Thursday morning.

Delpit, who missed his rookie series after rupturing his Achilles during camp las year, has been battling multiple hamstring injuries throughout camp. Williams was sidelined in 2020 due to a shoulder and nerve injury and is expected to be the fourth corner on the depth chart. He returned from a groin injury and Takitaki a hamstring.

The three participated in positional and individual drills during the portion of practice that was open to reporters.

Battery charger – The Browns got their work in early Thursday so players could get out of the building by early afternoon.

They are off until Monday morning, as mandated by the league, when they’ll begin preparations for the opener at Kansas City.

“We have to charge our battery up,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said. “They have to be smart in their rest and recovery. We talked about that this morning. We are very mindful that we have seven weeks until that mini-bye after the Thursday Night game. We have 12 weeks until our bye. We need to be real intentional as a team about how we rest and recover.”

Vaccinated players are free to travel while unvaccinated players must continue to test daily for COVID-19.

“I think the message is stay safe, be careful and follow the rules that are set forth, but in terms of telling the guys what they can and can’t do, I am really not in a position to do that,” Stefanski said. “I am in a position to tell them to be safe and reiterate some of those messages this morning and again today.”

Practice squad adds – The Browns added four more to the practice squad Thursday leaving them with one spot to fill.

The team announced the signings of cornerback Tim Harris, guard David Moore, tackle Jordan Steckler and kicker Chris Naggar.

Harris was a sixth-round pick of the 49ers in the 2019 Draft. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve and was on the practice squad most of las year, but he did appear in two games.

Moore was signed by Carolina as an undrafted free agent this year before being released.

Steckler spent this preseason with the Houston Texans and was with the Patriots and Saints last year.

Naggar is an undrafted free agent that signed with and was released by the New York Jets.

Injury report – CB Troy Hill (undisclosed), G Michael Dunn (back), C JC Tretter (undisclosed), WR Rashard Higgins (personal) did not practice Thursday.
