CLEVELAND, OH (923 The Fan) – Browns rookie defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr. has been arrested following an alleged domestic dispute.
The incident occurred Monday night in Avon, Ohio.
Hall was charged with domestic violence and posted $10,000 bond and was ordered to comply with a no-contact order according to the Avon Lake Clerk of Courts office.
Hall's next court date is September 10 at 9:30 a.m.
Avon police responded to a domestic disturbance call just after 10 p.m. Initially the caller hung up and police called back and spoke with the mother of Hall's fiance.
According to the police report obtained by 92.3 The Fan, Hall and his fiance, who have an 11-month-old daughter and have been living together for six months, got into an argument over the payment for a dental procedure for the woman’s 5-year-old daughter fathered by a different man. The report said that Hall looked at messages on his fiance’s phone to confirm her assertion her daughter's biological father could not pay for it. After Hall’s fiance locked the phone that’s when Hall became angry and demanded his fiance, her mother and two daughters all leave.
The narrative of the incident outlined in the police report said that Hall started “gathering belongings and throwing them outside.” Hall allegedly pushed his fiance into a door “causing damage to the door frame.” Hall also punched the door of a second floor bedroom before he “retrieved one of his two handguns” and “pressed the firearm against her temple and threatened ‘I will f******g end it all. I don’t care.’”
Hall is also accused of trying to force his fiance out of the house “by pushing her from behind toward the front door,” the report said. “Michael grabbed her by the feet and dragged ger on her back across the porch and down to the end of the driveway.”
Hall locked the women out of the house and left after police were called according to the report.
The mother of Hall's fiance told police she witnessed Hall “strike [her daughter] on the head with a baby bottle, drag her outside by her arms, choke her by the neck, push her head through a wall, and break open the bedroom door to drag her out.”
Police say they observed the hole in a second-floor door and damage to a first-floor door frame as descried by Hall's fiance and her mother to police.
Police found and seized two weapons, a glock 23 and a Smith & Wesson, during their search of the property. Hall's fiance was taken to the police station for photographs and a statement the report said.
