CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns defensive makeover began Tuesday with the release of reserve defensive end Adrian Clayborn.

Clayborn signed a two-year, $5.75 million deal as a free agent in 2020.

The move clears $3 million in salary cap space.

Clayborn started two of the 15 games he appeared in last season for the Browns where he totaled 12 tackles, three for loss, 3.5 sacks, seven QB hits, a forced fumble and pass defensed.

Cleveland is expected to invest heavily this offseason to upgrade a defense that, at times, last season became depleted and fell short.
