CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The addition of veteran defensive tackle Malik Jackson became official Tuesday.

Jackson signed his one-year contract the team announced.

The nine-year veteran was originally selected by Denver in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He made the Pro Bowl with Jacksonville in 2017.

Jackson was released by the Eagles last Wednesday and agreed to join the Browns Friday evening.

Jackson tallied 28 tackles and 2 ½ sacks in 2020 for Philadelphia.

The Browns added safety John Johnson III, defensive end Takk McKinley, cornerback Troy and linebacker Anthony Walker in an attempt to overhaul Cleveland’s defense in free agency so far this offseason.
