CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns signed fourth round pick James Hudson III to his rookie contract.

Hudson was selected No. 110 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft and he becomes the fourth of the team’s eight-member draft class to sign.

Hudson, a converted defensive tackle to offensive tackle, played in 11 games at Cincinnati from 2019-20 after transferring from Michigan where he spent 2017-18. He was named to the 2020 first-team All-American Athletic Conference.

Cincinnati’s offensive line was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award. The Bearcats averaged an AAC-best 5.6 yards per carry, ran for 212.4 yards per game on the ground and allowed an AAC-low nine sacks during the regular season in 2020

A Toledo, Ohio native, Hudson played in one game in 2019, but sat out the remainder of the season after having a hardship waiver denied following his transfer from Michigan.
