Browns sign second-round pick Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns signed second round pick Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Friday.

The linebacker from Notre Dame is the sixth member of the 2021 NFL Draft class to put pen to paper on his rookie contract. No. 26 overall pick Greg Newsome II and third-round pick Anthony Schwartz are the lone two members of the class that remain unsigned.


Cleveland traded up with Carolina from No. 59 to 52 to select Owusu-Koramoah on the second night of the draft.

NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah ranked Owusu-Koramoah as the No. 18, and The Athletic’s Dane Brugler had him the No. 15, overall prospect in the draft.

Owusu-Koramoah was named the 2020 Butkus award winner as the nation’s top linebacker and was also an All-American last season for the Fighting Irish.

Last season Owusu-Koramoah had 62 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, an interception and four passes defensed in 12 games.
