Browns sign 3 picks: Tony Fields II, Richard LeCounte III & Demetric Felton

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns signed three members of their 2021 Draft class Thursday.

Linebacker Tony Fields II, safety Richard LeCounte III and running back Demetric Felton all put pen to paper on their four-year rookie deals.

The contracts come on the eve of the team’s rookie minicamp kicking off. Players reported Thursday.

Fields was selected in the fifth round, No. 195 overall, a pick that was acquired from the Lions along with a 2022 fourth-round selection for picks 113 and 257.

Named All-Big 12 first team, Fields started 45 of 46 games over four seasons combined at Arizona and West Virginia and compiled 215 tackles, 21 for loss, 9.5 sacks, nine pass break-ups, three interceptions and a forced fumble.

LeCounte also went in the fifth round, No. 169.

A three-year starter at Georgia, LeCounte's 2020 season was cut short by a traffic accident. He had 26 tackles, three interceptions and four pass breakups prior to the accident in six games, five starts for the Bulldogs.

Felton was the final selection of the class, a sixth-round pick, No. 211 overall.

Felton averaged 4.7 yards per carry, totaled 1,101 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground for UCLA. He added 99 catches for 958 yards and eight more touchdowns receiving and averaged 23.5 yards on 26 kickoff returns, including one for a touchdown.
