Browns tab Bally’s Interactive for sports betting partnership

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – With sports betting set to become legal in 2023 in the state of Ohio, the Browns are ready to cash in.

The team and Bally’s Interactive announced a “long-term partnership” to make the gaming giant the official sports betting partner of the Browns Tuesday.

The agreement includes a mobile sports app as well as a branded lounge inside FirstEnergy Stadium, the location of which will be announced in the coming months. Fans 21 and older will have access to the lounge, which will show games from across the NFL on game days.

“Bally’s Interactive has the fan-first mindset that is consistent with our focus and pivotal to creating successful, fully-integrated sports betting experiences, and we look forward to supporting Bally’s efforts to provide these innovative opportunities to Browns fans and all sports fans in Ohio in the near future,” Dave Jenkins, Haslam Sports Group executive vice president and chief operating officer, said. “As we continue to work closely with sports betting regulators in our state to ensure a responsible and timely launch, we are excited and confident that our partnership with Bally’s will ultimately offer industry-leading benefits to fans throughout Cleveland and Ohio.”

By signing on with the Browns in Ohio, Bally’s has acquired sports betting access in 18 states.

With sports betting anticipated to be operational in Ohio by January 1, 2023, the Browns and Bally’s are preparing to have all partnership elements fully accessible to fans on the first officially permitted date.

The Cavaliers have named two betting partners – Fubo Sportsbook as their official mobile sportsbook and Caesers as their official sports betting partner, which includes a betting lounge to be built inside of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

The Cleveland Guardians, who have yet to add a betting partner for a lounge at Progressive Field and app, are expected to follow suit soon.
