CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns defensive overhaul continued Friday night.
The team agreed to terms with free agent defensive tackle Malik Jackson, the fifth defender added by Browns executive vice president of football operations and general manager Andrew Berry this week.
The deal is for one year according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, who first reported the agreement.
The nine-year veteran was originally selected by Denver in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He made the Pro Bowl with Jacksonville in 2017.
Jackson was released by the Eagles on Wednesday.
He tallied 28 tackles and 2 ½ sacks in 2020 for Philadelphia.
Berry added safety John Johnson III, defensive end Takk McKinley, cornerback Troy and linebacker Anthony Walker in an attempt to overhaul Cleveland’s defense in free agency.
