UCLA RB Demetric Felton in 6th round wraps up Browns 2021 Draft

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – The Browns wrapped up their 2021 NFL Draft selections by adding another offensive weapon in Round 6.

UCLA running back Demetric Felton was selected 211th overall in the sixth round by Cleveland, capping an impressive addition of talent by EVP/GM Andrew Berry over the last three days.

“I think he starts in the running back room, but part of the appeal to Demetric was his ability to line up all over, speaking of versatility,” head coach Kevin Stefanski said. “We list him as a running back, but we need to get him on campus and see what he can handle and see what he can do. You have plenty of reps you can look at down there at the Senior Bowl where he is lining up all over. That is to be determined in role, but you can pencil him as a running back at this moment.”

Over four years with the Bruins, Felton averaged 4.7 yards per carry, totaled 1,101 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground. He added 99 catches for 958 yards and eight more touchdowns receiving.

“I feel like I can play both positions at a very high level,” Felton said. “The Browns told me that they wanted me to play running back. I am excited to be able to go there and learn from the guys above me and be able to provide for this team however they want me to.”

Felton also returned kicks where he averaged 23.5 yards on 26 returns, including one for a touchdown.
